Accelerate Healing Laughter

Laughter makes the body fresh and
healthy. The team of
researchers from the University
of Leeds, UK, even found in
people who are suffering from
wounds, laughing habits can accelerate healing compared to
using advanced technology. In a study conducted over five
years to 337 patients, the
researchers compared the
effects of laughter plus regular
wound care, with the use of low-
dose ultrasound on the patient's wound in the leg. It turns out
that advanced technology does
not speed up the healing
process. All the patients involved are
people with ulcers or wounds in
the leg wound does not heal
after six months or more. As standard procedure, the
research team bandage wounds
to stimulate blood flow from the
legs back to the heart. "The
best way to do this is to bind
and ask the patient to eat and exercise settings," said Professor
Andrea Nelson, chairman of the
research. When the researchers tried to
add the use of sound waves
(ultrasound) in addition to the
standard procedure, found no
significant difference in the
speed of wound to heal or wound back. Precisely when the patients
were asked for more frequent
laugh, wounds heal faster. "We
laughed the diaphragm will move
so the flow of blood throughout
the body more smoothly," said Nelson.
